After almost two decades as a stand-alone event, the Predictor races have been folded into the Run4Fun Brookings youth track series. The Predictor Mile was restarted in 2004, based on similar runs conducted in the '70s and '80s.
The Predictor Mile is open to every age and fitness level. Fast, slow or in between, the prize goes to the person who best predicts his or her time for a one mile run on the track. Parents of Run4Fun participants are encouraged to enter the free event, but any runner is welcome to match their prognostican and running abilities.
No watches allowed.
